Outreach activities
The ASISST project has also delivered numerous outreach events for Year 8 to 12 school pupils. These have taken place in either the University of Sheffield or schools/sixth forms.
During visits to the University of Sheffield, pupils carried out hands-on laboratory testing of physical electronic hardware and visited our teaching cleanroom, where semiconductor devices are fabricated. The typical schedule of a school visit to the University of Sheffield was 3 - 4 hours.
